Our Calm Companies™ program consists of two powerful presentations:

(1) Calm Companies Leadership Training
Companies make three strategic mistakes that cost money, market share and employee retention.

(a) Companies make emotionally-driven decisions everyday based on fear and anxiety. Perhaps sales drop and companies immediately lower the price of their product for a short-term fix, hurting their brand in the long-term.

Did you know that the greatest corporate blunder ever occurred because corporate managers made decisions based on fear and anxiety? It is estimated that this branding disaster cost a billion dollars in total revenue. It was called New Coke.

(b) Companies live in fire drill mode, always reacting to a crisis. This leads to burnout, poor decisions and lost opportunities.

(c) Internal squabbles, power struggles and resentment foster an atmosphere that lingers under the surface. Employees feel left out of the process, like their input does not matter.

We will provide you with a simple to execute philosophy that encourages calm leadership, long-term strategic thinking and uses each employee’s gifts and talents to promote ownership and greater productivity.


(2) Calm Companies Parenting Workshop.
Families and employees live under a tremendous strain these days. How does this affect you and why should you care? Because several recent studies verified what you already suspect—employees spend an inordinate amount of time, as much as 15-20% of the work week, handling families issues instead of focusing on work. Whether missing work altogether or just being distracted in the office, problems with children, school and marital issues are draining productivity.

Employees whose home lives are in order are much more focused and present at work. They have more energy, more confidence and make better decisions. Aside from productivity issues, you have an opportunity to provide a valuable service to struggling families. This ultimately helps morale and contributes to employee satisfaction and retention.


How Does This Work?
It’s easy and turnkey. Most companies ask us to present the Leadership training followed by the Parenting Workshop in the middle of the day (i.e. 11am-1pm). Companies will often provide pizza or subs, or ask their employees to bring a brown bag lunch to the presentations. Some companies allow spouses to attend the Parenting Workshop as well.
